NOVEL HYBRID BICM SCHEME WITH MIMO-TURBO RECEIVER

This paper explores hybrid BICM scheme with different modulation mode assigned to different parts of coded bits, forming several symbol streams. According to different transmitting strategies of these symbol streams, two schemes are discussed here. To enhance the BER performance and to fully exploit the spatial and temporal diversity obtained by hybrid BICM, Turbo receiver is introduced. By simulation, the proposed schemes outperform the traditional BICM system with iterative receiver. The two schemes are also distinguishing in capability of exploiting spatial and temporal diversity gains.
