摘要
This study was aimed at studying the significance of various categories of holidays, the choice of which determines the attitude of modern youth to the image of their country and their region. It is emphasized that rituals are important in shaping the culture of a particular country or region. The most expressive form of rituals are holidays, which determine the belonging of both personal self-identification and form a sense of belonging to their country, their region. The following categories of holidays were presented: public holidays; regional holidays; Religious holidays; family holiday; New Year; Victory Day (May 9); "Men's" holidays; "Women's" holidays; sports recreation. The study involved 318 respondents from various macro-regions of Russia. The results of the study showed that respondents perceive holidays differently for themselves, for representatives of their region and for the inhabitants of Russia as a whole. Differentiation was also revealed in the assessment of the significance of certain holiday rituals for representatives of different macroregions.
