摘要
This article discusses a study on a high insulated transformer for a series connection of IGBTs power supply. According to gate driver power calculation, the supplied power around 10W needs to transfer from the primary side to the secondary side of the insulated transformer to supply for a series connection of four IGBTs. A suitable topology for the power transmission function is a resonant converter. The insulated transformer geometries, that used to serve as insulation system in DC-DC converter, are investigated here in order to ensure the power transfer with low parasitic capacitance (C-ps). As a result, a pot-core transformer is selected for this consideration. Moreover, few winding shapes of pot core transformer are proposed and simulated by using finite element software (FEMM (TM)). Finally, in order to validate the proposed technology, the hardware of each element is built where its results are shown and analyzed in detail.
