摘要
The paper discusses the analysis of the possible effects of accidents that may occur during mining operations at sea. The article presents accident statistics, the source of which is the WOAD (World Offshore Accident Database) database created by the DNV GL classification society. In these studies, an analysis of the location of drilling platforms in the southern part of the Baltic Sea and ship traffic in this area was carried out. Then, using the PIESCES II simulator, oil spill simulations were carried out for the offshore area. Hydrometeorological factors having the greatest influence on the possibility of pollution of the Polish coastline were determined on the basis of the conducted analyses.
