摘要
A new equivalent circuit model for a two-layer dumbbell-type defected ground structure (DGS) is proposed. Many papers on defected ground structures have been published over the past ten years. However, the majority have focused on microstrip structures. In this paper, we introduce a two-layer dumbbell-type DGS, and derive an equivalent circuit model. The structure is designed for increased equivalent capacitance. To confirm the validity of the equivalent circuit model, several EM simulation and measurement results for two-layer dumbbell type DGS circuits are compared with the corresponding simulated results for the equivalent circuits.
