摘要
Drinking water provides a significant potential exposure to environmental contaminants. Particularly for infants, whose formula may be prepared with tap water or bottled water, it is important for the water to be free from harmful contaminants. Other elements may affect odor or appearance, and although not harmful, may discourage the use of an otherwise adequate water source. We will demonstrate the ability of flame and furnace atomic adsorption to determine the U.S. primary and secondary drinking water contaminants (with the exception of mercury) and several other elements of interest in the European Community.
