摘要：

The ICF model is of great practical importance not only in general medicine and rehabilitation, but also in manual medicine and pain therapy. However, it is not yet sufficiently well-known and used in many areas. The value of the ICF model lies in the medical thinking on "functioning" towards functional medicine. It serves as an explanatory model for physicians and patients, in the communication with cost bearers, and in the further training of physicians and therapists.
