ALLEGORY AND OTHER ARTWORKS IN SUGAR INDUSTRY (PART 2)

This paper presents the second part of a previous article dealing with allegories of sugar and sugar beet industry, especially with the plastic art by the sculptors S. Sucharda and J. E. Rilileka. This part presents the outdoor works of art located in Litovel and Vrbatky sugar factories (reliefs, sgraffito, sculptures), works showing a cube of sugar or other forms in which sugar is sold (the fountain in Dobrovice, monument and other wooden objects in Daeice the place where sugar cubes were born). The article concludes by mentioning the medal-making works and plastic art pieces related to important personalities of sugar industry (Haring Karlik and Professor Karel J. N. Balling). The texts on the individual works of art are complemented by brief CVs of their creators.
