摘要
Presented is a Faraday effect based semi-physical simulation method for testing the frequency response of digital closed-loop fiber optical gyroscope (FOG). Motivation is given for developing high-accuracy bandwidth measurement with extended frequency spectrum. The establishment of equivalent magneto-optic circuit enables Faraday phase which is excited by sinusoidal currents to replace Sagnac phase and get processed by all-digital closed-loop detection circuit of FOG. Amplitude discrimination and phase deviation with high precision is achieved by the lock-in amplifier for the same frequency of analog output and the exciting current. The frequency spectrum measurement range is proved to be expanded by the simulation and experimental results that verify this scheme is both useful and feasible. (C) 2013 Elsevier GmbH.
