Study on the Degradation of Plasticizer Di (2-Ethylhexyl) Phthalate by Advanced Oxidation Process

摘要
Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) is one of the most common plasticizers, it have a wide variety of industrial, agricultural and domestic applications. The degradation characteristics of DEHP in water by the advanced oxidation process O-3, UV and UV/O-3 were respectively studied. The effects of ozone concentration, DEHP concentration and pH on the removal rate of DEHP were investigated. The experimental results showed that UV was not able to remove DEHP significantly. However, O-3 or the combination of O-3 with UV could degrade DEHP effectively. Both the increase in the O-3 concentration and the initial pH value of the system benefited the DEHP removal.
