Response of a layered elastic half space to a moving high-speed train

摘要
High-speed trains can generate vibrations that propagate away from the track. We present an accurate and efficient method to calculate the displacements of a buried or surface point load moving with constant speed. Possible oscillatory behavior of the train can be taken into account. The method is based on an integral representation of the response in the slowness domain. We have taken the effects of stratification into account by expressing the field in terms of reflection and transmission properties of the layers. We can conclude that vibrations, generated by oscillating trains, can be observed at large distances from the track, even if the train speed is lower than the critical speed.
