Turbulent heat transfer in supersonic flows with high local pressure gradients

Including the orientational properties of turbulence in flows with high local pressure gradients within the integral method of calculation of heat transfer characteristics is suggested. The model concepts of the solenoid nature of interaction of large-scale turbulence with the external axial field do not include empirical constants and are demonstrated in examples of heat transfer calculations in the vicinity of ledges and steps, Adequate agreement with the experiment is obtained.
