摘要
Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the effects of aniracetam on functional recovery of poststroke patients during rehabilitation process. Subjects and Methods: Forty-two poststroke patients were assessed by the followings: hemiplegia severity, ADL, help-needs, neuropsychological symptoms, global mental state, perceived satisfaction, and depressive mood. Results: There were no significant differences in biographical characteristics between the aniracetam group and the control group. The aniracetam. group showed significant improvement in instrumental ADL and perceived satisfaction compared with the control group. The aniracetam group showed significant improvement in neuropsychological symptoms. However, both groups showed no significant improvement in depressed mood. Conclusions: Administration of aniracetam to the poststroke patients was suggested to induce some facilitative effect on improvement of ADL in rehabilitation process.
