摘要
As a pattern of the protected areas system in Hong Kong, Country Park is undertaking two missions, one is conservation and another is recreation. This article taking one typical country park as an example, conducting field investigate method, desk-top research and qualitative research method to analyze the sustainability of the resources planning and management in the park based on core indicators of sustainable tourism listed by The World Tourism Organization (WTO). As the result, this evaluation points out the successful implementations the park used and problems that it is facing, for which many governments and planners could use for reference when they developing their own protected nature-based tourism resources in the near downtown area.
