Independent development of a multi-channel transient electromagnetic (M-TEM) system has entered the instrument integration stage. Firstly, the debugging and the waveform measurement of the instrument have been successfully conducted in Zhangbei county, Hebei Province. In the case of large offset, at the presence of the 50Hz electromagnetic interference, it can get a good correlation with emission waveform for received curves, which shows that the overall performance of the instrument is stable. Afterwrads, the experimental test was carried out at a Mo mine of Caosiyao, Inner Mongolia. The 4. 8 km profile data were acquired and processed, followed by picking peak times and calculating apparent resistivity from recorded data, and 2D inversion conducted. The shape of 2D inversion section is in agreement with the known geological data. These have laid the foundation for the large-scale comparive test and equipment exploration in the subsequent work.
