The Effects of Root-Soil System of Pycreus Globosus (All.) Reichb. Community on Soil Conservation and Riverbank Reinforcement in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area

摘要
Soil-root system has good effects on soil conservation and slope protection. Pycreus globosus (All.) Reichb. is a common riparian species distributing in the three gorges reservoir area. In order to explore its performance in soil conservation and slope protection and its response to environmental change caused by the fluvial pattern change in the three gorges reservoir area, we determined and analyzed root tensile strength, erosion resistance, erosion resistance and shear strength of the soil-root system in Pycreus globosus (All.) Reichb community. The results showed that root structure of Pycreus globosus (All.) Reichb community became complex with the increasing altitude. Root biomass had significant correlation with the performance of soil-root system in soil conservation and slope protection.
