A Method for General Printing Anti-counterfeiting by Moire Patterns

摘要
Moire security is a type of information hiding technology based on optics. Authentication of packaging by moire patterns was discussed for the anti-counterfeiting technology based on general printing. The generation and principle of moire pattern anti-countfeiting were analyzed. We designed the moire pattern with the hiding information by Illustrator and applied it to packaging design. The packaging design was printed by digital proofing to verify it's anti counterfeiting performance. The result shows that the packaging with the hidden information by the moire anti counterfeiting technology is revealed after decoding, and a certain authentication effect is obtained. Finally the moire pattern-based production process in printing anti-countfeiting, the detail for moire pattern design and the method for improving the anti-countfetiting performance of moire pattern are put forward. The corresponding solution is also presented.
