摘要
The article deals with the questions of the ontology and genesis of imagination. It may happen that imagination is just a common name given to the different powers that could be found in the consciousness for the sake of convenience to distinguish their unreal character. The starting point of the article is Sartre's phenomenological investigations which reveal the non-homogeneous character of two modes of existence - the one of the physical object and the other of image you face in consciousness. It is imagination than can lead us towards the liberation from reality. It is also clear that traditional distinction between imagination and reality is not enough. Imagination as a process of consciousness prevails all the objects, real, fictional and even virtual. All the perceptions are merged into the imagination. Finally, it is barely possible to claim that imagination is a faculty. Its autonomous character allows us to experience an alien power inside ourselves.
