Presented is an evaluation of the possibility of salt deposits forming, resulting from mixing of waters during waterflooding of oil pools in the crystalline basement of off-shore White Tiger and Dragon fields in South Vietnam. Described are features of salt forming in oil reservoirs of non-traditional type in basement granitoids, waterflooding system spefics are accounted for.
