Hybridization of structured and unstructured grids for Maxwell equations

摘要：
In order to take advantage of Finite Volume Time Domain (FVTD) and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) schemes, we define a new strategy based on an overlapping grid technique for structured and unstructured meshes. The Yee scheme, the Perfectly Matched Layer (PML) technique and a finite volume method based on the flux-splitting approach in the time domain are applied on different subdomains. 3D comparison results between FDTD, FVTD and the hybrid scheme (HFV) have both proved, the interest in CPU time and memory size of the HFV approach.
