β-tricalcium Phosphate/Graphite/PVA Hydrogel Composite as Porous Ringy Skirt for Artificial Cornea

摘要
beta-tricalcium phosphate/graphite/PVA hydrogel composite (beta-TCP/C/PVA) was prepared as porous ringy skirt of artificial cornea by sol-gel and freeze/thaw cycles. The material property was studied by measuring the moisture content, tensile strength, X-ray diffraction, IR. and Optical microscope. The experiment result indicates that a porous beta-TCP/C/PVA hydrogen composite presents high moisture content (70%similar to 78%), good mechanical properties (0.2 similar to 0.6 MPa) and high porosity.
