摘要
Do matched pairs of general managers and manufacturing managers from the same firm agree on the competitive priorities of their manufacturing unit? This study is an empirical analysis of 98 pairs of managers from several industries. Results indicate that the two levels of management do not agree, suggesting a potential inconsistency between manufacturing strategy and business strategy. Possible explanations of the differences are investigated, and both managerial and research implications are proposed.
