摘要
In the present investigation we study the anomalous cosmic rays (ACR) influence on the electron production rate in the middle atmosphere and lower ionosphere of the Earth. We established that this influence is extended in the polar cap regions above 65 degrees - 70 degrees of the geomagnetic latitude. It strongly depends on the spectrum magnitude, geomagnetic and atmospheric cut-offs values. For smaller values of geomagnetic latitudes the geomagnetic cut-offs become significant and determine the electron production rate profiles. Electron production rate profiles by ACR are presented for the different geomagnetic latitudes and atmospheric altitudes (30-120 km). We take experimentally measured spectra by satellites for the main ACR constituents - protons, alpha particles and oxygen nuclei. Some ACR, ionization rate values are comparable with the galactic cosmic rays (GCR) ionization rate in the polar cap regions when the strong ACR spectra impact there. The results are obtained with our improved Cosmic Ray Ionization Model for the Ionosphere and Atmosphere (CORIMIA) which takes into account the characteristic energy intervals of the ionization losses function.
