摘要
The paper presents the analysis of the temperature effect on both the stiffness and the damping of glass fibre composite materials. The properties of these materials are derived from flexural vibrations of free-clamped beams. The experimental results show that the dynamic properties are appreciably kept up to the temperature of glass transition, where damping increases sharply in a little interval of temperature. This paper also presents an evaluation of the damping as function of the temperature using the Ritz method. (c) 2005 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
