摘要
We describe for the first time the day roost of the rare Lichonycteris obscura, a small specialized nectar-feeding bat that shows seasonal movements. Roosts were easily accessible cavities at or under fallen trees. As these structures occur frequently on slopes along streams, they are widely distributed, somewhat predictable and may be easily found by migrating bats. The use of such very common structures for roosting permits these small nectar-feeding species the seasonal access to areas with only temporarily high nectar resource availability.
