摘要
Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms are two techniques for optimization and learning, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The two have generally evolved along separate paths. In this paper we have described a different genetic algorithm which can be used to train the feed forward neural network which is used to identify the Intrusions effectively. We have been succeeded in the process of identifying the intrusions effectively with the proposed GA Weight extraction algorithm. We have classified the connections as normal and abnormal using the obtained weights and computed the accuracy of the proposed model. (C) 2012 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
