摘要
With the rapid digitization of education, teachers should have teaching skills utilizing ICT. In addition, they need to create lessons as a whole unit, as if the lessons composed one seamless lesson (we called this a "unit of learning") and to conduct lessons while constantly improving the teaching methods in their lesson by taking into account the learning situations of the students in each lesson. In particular, teachers need to have teaching skills utilizing ICT in units of learning. However, student teachers may find it difficult to develop the skills because they have no opportunity to learn effective ways of utilizing ICT in practical activities. This points to a need to develop an educational model for student teachers to be able to learn effective ways of utilizing ICT in units of learning. The purpose of the study is to develop such an educational model. We developed a model of lesson study wherein student teachers learn effective ways of utilizing ICT through improving teaching methods in the next lesson depending on learning situation of students in simulated lessons. The results of an evaluation of the model developed through practice clarified that it could help student teachers develop teaching skills utilizing ICT in units of learning.
