摘要：

This study aims to deliver information about an alternative material recently used by SERVIU in their housing projects. This material is called the Royal Building System, which is based on a structure of rigid PVC panel connectors, filled with reinforced concrete, meeting the important needs and insulation that the design requires (1). The special attributes of this system of construction are presented via the parallel assessment and comparison with machine-made confined masonry brick, as a traditional and used method. Under evaluation are two housing projects undertaken by SERVIU in the community Colina, which are built with these two materials. They are evaluated through the use of existing technical data, application of user perception surveys and reviews of studies based on expert opinion.
