Let n and r be positive integers. Suppose that a family F subset of 2([n]) satisfies \F-1 n F-2 n F-3\ greater than or equal to 2 for all F-1, F-2, F-3 is an element of F. We prove that if w<0.5018, then Sigma(Fis an element ofF) w(\F\)(1 - w)(n-\F\) less than or equal to w(2). (C) 2002 Elsevier Science (USA).
