摘要
The use of communication technologies for health care and monitoring is discussed. Video-telephony is migrating over plain-old telephone systems (POTS) as the services become more affordable. Wide range of minimally invasive continuous health-monitoring systems are developed by merging wireless circuitry with sensor technologies. These technologies will improve the cost and convenience related with outpatient monitoring.
