We study the vanishing and stability of the spatial gradient of solutions to the quasilinear equation u(t) + lambda div(vertical bar del Delta u vertical bar(p-2)del Delta u) - gamma div(del phi( u)) = 0 under suitable initial data on bounded domains with prescribed boundary conditions and in R(n).
