Friction and wear processes modification of ion implanted steel

摘要
Comparative studies of implanted and non-implanted specimens are carried out as model experiments at the test stand according to different testing methods. Tested specimens were produced of 15 HGM steel and were implanted with a nitrogen dose of 2X10(17) ions/cm(2) with 120 keV. The results of the study indicate that nitrogen ion implantation of the 15 HGM steel improves the friction coefficient and wear intensity.
