Syntheses and magnetic properties of a spin crossover complex [Fe(dpq)2(NCS)2] • 1.5H2O

摘要
The study of the spin crossover complexes is an important field of magnetochemistry and such compounds have attracted much attention. A new ligand dpq(dpq = dipyrazine[3, 2-f] [2, 3'-h]quinoxaline) and a new spin crossover complex [Fe(dpq) (2)(NCS) (2)](.) 1. 5H(2)O were synthesized newly, and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, MS, H-1 NMR and UV-vis spectroscopy. The studies of magnetic properties and Mossbauer spectroscopy indicate that [Fe(dpq)(2)(NCS)(2)] (.) 1. 5H(2)O is a novel spin crossover complex, showing 15K hysteresis loop and a step transition on temperature cooling. The discussions concerning the behavior state that the conjugation of ligand plays an important role in the spin crossover.
