摘要
In this ex post, facto study, the relationship between the adolescent's social reputation -real and ideal- and relational aggression among peers was analysed. The sample was composed of 1,319 adolescents aged front 11 to 16 years old. Statistical analyses with structural equation modeling were carried out to examine the direct and indirect effect of social reputation (real and ideal) on relational aggression. Results obtained indicated that social reputation was related both directly and indirectly to relational aggression. It was found a negative direct relationship between the real social reputation and relational aggression, and a direct positive association between the ideal social reputation and relational aggression. Also, findings suggested that loneliness and life satisfaction mediated the relationship between the real and ideal reputation and relational aggression. Finally. these results and their implications were discussed.
