摘要
Five Romanian cattle breeds were studied, Romanian Schwitz, Romanian Simmental, Deutsche Simmental (Fleckvieh), Black and White (Romanian type), and Pinzgauer at two loci milk k - casein, and beta - lactoglobulin, in order to determine genetic distance between them. The highest genetic similarity coefficient (0.992), and the lowest genetic distance (0.008) was calculated between Romanian Simmental and Pinzgauer breeds. The highest genetic similarity coefficient (0.718) and the longest genetic distance (0.331) were recorded between Romanian Schwitz and Black and White (Romanian type) even all four breeds have common origin on maternal line (Romanian Grey breed). These differences can be explained due to sample error and taking into account the low degree of reproductive isolation of all five analyzed cattle breeds.
