摘要：
Live donor renal transplantation is the optimal treatment for end-stage renal disease. Despite its numerous advantages, live donor renal transplantation remains an underutilized option. Laparoscopic live donor nephrectomy was designed to remove financial and logistical obstacles to donation in an attempt, to increase the number of live donors. Now, 5 years since it was first performed, laparoscopic live donor nephrectomy is becoming. widely adopted and has been shown to be advantageous for the donor. Also-it has not caused any deleterious effects on the recipient. Its advent has profound implications for the field of renal transplantation and live organ donation.
