摘要
With extreme growth in automobile and industrial pollution, the current levels of emissions polluting the air is at an all-time high. Because of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide the Clean Air Act was written and passed in the US Congress. This act, along with the Glean Air Act Amendments in 1990, attempts to regulate and enforce emission standards and improve air qualify for major metropolitan and industrial areas throughout the United States. The regulations set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency have a positive impact on industrial workers across the country. This paper analyzes the ergonomic impact of increased carbon dioxide pollution:on industrial employee well-being and safety. It also attempts to recommend guidelines and practices-to follow in case of severe carbon dioxide emission problems.
