摘要
Grammar teaching is a fundamental part in language teaching, especially for the second language teaching. And two dominant approaches are utilised in grammar teaching: the deductive approach and the inductive approach. However, it is not obvious that which one is much better or more acceptable for both teachers and learners. This essay will mainly focus on the deductive approach and the inductive approach. And the differences between these two approaches and how to combine them will be discussed.
