Globalisation of IPM through the internet

The internet has de facto made pest management information global, regardless of the site-specific nature of that information. Given that pest management information is now available world-wide and instantaneously, scientists must cooperate to make sure that such information is perceived and used appropriately. Additionally, the impact of information from commercial sources must be considered and neither dismissed nor ignored. A description of the needs, sources, and modes of potential collaboration to provide accurate, timely, and appropriate pest management is provided, together with examples of partnerships already established.
