Effect of degradation on surface and mechanical properties of C-60 and C-60/C-70 single crystals

摘要
High purity C-60 and C-60/C-70 mixed crystals have been exposed to air at room temperature for about two years. The surface observations with optical microscope show that the mixed crystals degraded extensively due to photopolymerization than the pure C-60 crystals. The mechanical properties of the crystals were investigated using the Vickers microhardness indentation technique.
