Application modified C-dump converter for Industrial Low Voltage SRM

摘要
In this paper, we present advance angle value for maximum torque of the low voltage high current switched reluctance motor for fork lift truck. SRM has positive torque at increasing inductance region and negative torque at decreasing inductance region. Advance angle control is used for the high torque it needs to build up current before inductance increase. To the contrary to drop the phase current before inductance decrease. Because the SRM consumes much current, we use the modified C-dump converter to drive SRM. When C-dump converter is applied, the capacitance of dump C must have proper value for energy storing and current dropping. To show the good performance of proposed values, we present simulation result.
