Primary Spinal Epidural Lymphoma: Case Report

Primary spinal epidural non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is an uncommon and rarely symptomatic lesion. It is frequently encountered in males in the 4th and 5th decades of life. Magnetic resonance imaging (MM) has an important role in the diagnosis of these lesions. Determination of characteristics of these lesions in MRI is important in terms of early diagnosis and treatment. Prognosis is relatively better in primary spinal epidural lymphomas when compared to other epidural masses. In the present case, a mass seen on MM which affected the neural foramen, compressed cauda equina and exhibited homogenous contrast enhancement fallowing gadolinium administration. The mass was removed surgically and histopathology was reported as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy was applied to patient after the surgery.
