摘要
This paper presents fault diagnosis of electric motors for geographically-distributed power grid systems. With the advancement of modern communication tools in industry, the power electronics and energy system have been efficiently monitored and reliably controlled through the information technology (IT) networks. Among those, remote monitoring in real-time requires large communication bandwidth as the signal acquisition device in drive system commonly adopts high resolution analogue to digital converters (ADCs). This paper presents an efficient transmission of the acquired signal for remote motor current signature analysis (MCSA) diagnosis purpose. It is proven that the proposed diagnosis scheme provides high enough accuracy and low signal bandwidth in implementation.
