摘要
Investigation of an outbreak of multiresistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa urinary tract infections within our hospital identified the urodynamic laboratory as the point source. Disinfection procedures were inadequate, and transducers designated for single-patient use were used repeatedly and subsequently became contaminated. These improper procedures were part of a cost-containment effort (Infect Control Hosp Epidemiol 1997;18:509-510).
