摘要
Since a basestation transceiver subsystem(BTS) is located far(over several kilometers) from a base station controller (BSC) in code division multiple access(CDMA) mobile communication network, a trunk is used for transmission path between them. Therefore, the data transmission rate is limited to the speed of 1.544 Mbps(for T1) or 2.048 Mbps(for E1). So it is desirable to configure multiple links in order to reduce queue delay for the heavy traffic. In the case of link failure, it is necessary to reconfigure links in order to maintain the on-going mobile call service. In this paper, we propose a reconfiguration method based upon a self-routing applied to the interconnection network in the BSC and the BTS. The method includes the case of not only link failure but also link recovery The proposed method is simply achieved by the bit modification of bridge link identification(ID) in the address field of frames for routing. We also show the traffic distribution over the available links as the number of failed links varies.
