Critiques of Ecocriticism

This paper considers four recent critiques of ecocriticism,mainly developed in the USA, although one overview is by a British author. It provides a history of the phases of ecocriticism and an indication of current and future debates and trends, as discussed by these four authors. It concludes with a challenge to Chinese ecocriticism to learn from these critiques and to find its distinctiveness within its own rich traditions.
