Synthesis of 2-(phenyl substituted thioureido)-4-(2-chloro-4-trifluoromethyl phenyl amino)-6-(4-pyridyl amino)-1,3,5-triazines

2,4,6-Trichloro-1,3,5-triazine was reacted selectively with new nucleophilic reagents, 4-aminopyridine (I), o-chloro-p-trifluoromethyl aniline (II) different substituted phenyl thioureas (III) to give 2-(phenyl substituted thioureido)-4-(2-chloro-4-trifluoromethyI phenyl amino)-6-(4-pyridyl amino)-1,3,5-triazines (IV). The structure of all the compounds are confirmed by their IR, H-1 NMR, F-19 NMR, mass spectral data and elemental analysis. These compound show fungicidal activity against Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus niger and Macrophomina.
