Numerical simulation of normal- and oblique-shock vortex interaction

摘要
The dependence of the breakdown topology on the shock-vortex interaction conditions is numerically investigated. Based on solutions of the Euler equations the unsteady three-dimensional flow field is studied at several freestream Mach numbers and for normal and oblique shocks. The results of the finite-volume method using the AUSM approach indicate a strong dependence of the recirculation region downstream of the shock on the shock induced pressure gradient and on the vortex strength.
