摘要
The research questions addressed in this paper are 1) whether one of the standards in the LPWAN area seems to be able to prevail and dominate the market in the coming years or whether the standards will complement each other, and 2) what the parameters affecting this development are likely to be. The questions are simple, but the answer is more complex. To examine the research questions, technology and market parameters are investigated. The overall conclusion is that the technology choices will partly build on the application areas and that the network effects will be strongest in geographically or otherwise confined areas. The implication is that different technology solutions can co-exist globally but also regionally and nationally.
