Iterative Receiver for Cooperative Wireless Systems using Analog Network Coding Scheme

In this paper, we propose an iterative receiver for cooperative wireless systems. We consider wireless transmissions over Rayleigh fading channels between two sources nodes, one relay node and one destination node. The relay node uses Analog Network Coding (ANC) scheme to help the communication between the sources and the destination. At the receiver, we propose a decoding scheme based on successive interference cancelation and iterative treatment applied to both direct received signals and relayed signal. Simulation results show that the proposed receiver performance approaches in few iterations the perlormance of the corresponding system in which the relay is a genie-aided node that estimates perfectly sources sequences. Also, our receiver performs, in case of different direct channels powers, more than classical iterative receiver not using an interference canceller.
